Fellow Party Members, The situation involving one of my family members has rendered me incapable of fully exercising the duties of the Office of Party President, which is unacceptable in an election year. Therefore, to preserve the integrity of the Free Democrats, I announce to you privately my intention to resign the presidency. The party officers have unanimously decided to call an extraordinary convention for the purpose of electing new officers, and my resignation will be effective as soon as my successor is sworn in. Of course, due to my situation, Miestrâ Schivâ is going to continue running the day-to-day operations as she has the last few days. She will also be announcing the dates, times, and location of the convention, which will be announced publicly once I have posted my resignation publicly. My resignation has nothing to do with the current situation involving the MRPT and the Cabinet, and I look forward to remaining a member of the Free Democrats. Furthermore, to be clear, I will not be making any endorsements for my successor, or for the election of any other officer. I wish whomever my successor may be the best of luck, and I look forward to working with whomever that may be. Standing ovation for the outgoing President! May he return to full active service in future.
In the Officers' Board meeting, we agreed that time is a factor here. Therefore, I am calling for nominations for Party President within before 00:00:01, 25 December, Talossan Standard (Central) time. In a separate thread.
