All amendments to the Party Constitution need to be 'hoppered', debated on, and voted in this thread. Should there be a lot of same, I will divide things into separate threads. - GV

Okay then! The necessary constitutional amendments are as follows:

1. That section VI(c) of the FreeDems Constitution be deleted.

2. That section VII of the FreeDems Constitution be replaced with:

a. The President shall be responsible for the distribution of seats in provincial legislatures, taking into account advice from Free Democrats in the province under consideration.
b. If the President is unavailable or resigns, the Secretary shall assume their duties until the next Convention. If the Secretary is unavailable or resigns, the President is empowered to appoint a new Secretary until the next Convention.

I will call this the '2020 No more Provincial Chairs Amendment'.

*sigh* Well, GV has vanished just when he's needed, apparently.

By my count, this amendment PASSES 2-1, i.e. with the 2/3 majority needed by the Constitution.

If you have any objections to this, now is the time to say so.
