We stand on a knife-edge.
On one side lies our leading a coalition government with Miestrâ as PM, a position of servant-leadership richly-deserved. On the other lies electoral defeat to the RUMP and third-place status in Talossan affairs. It's mighty cold on the outside looking in when the door is shut, and rest assured, the RUMP will keep that door locked tight.
Never forget only a few votes separated us from such a defeat this last time. Never before has Talossan politics been so evenly-balanced with three parties holding near-equal proportions of the Cosâ.
Who are we? What are we? And what should we be?
What we *must* be is more active...to a person...every single person in our party. Every last one.
Viteu has indicated his desire to *not* run for President. So have I, for my part. And we need Miestrâ as Secretary.
Our Platform is clear. Our purpose is clarion, crystalline, and consistent.
It is time for all of you who have never before done so to do so now: raise your hands for leadership. We need a new party President and leader. We need new blood, and in our quest to make the way we do Talossan governance as good and as democratic as it can be, we need new ideas and new energy.
The time is now. Will you answer the call?
GV, Senator for Fiôvâ

I thank the Party Leader for his invitation and GV for his rousing speech. For those members interested, I have delivered my speech in committee.
